What is a physiologic birth and why should I want one?

A physiologic birth is also known as a natural childbirth with limited medical interventions. At SAGE we know that women birth best when and where they feel safe and supported. The elements that support a woman laboring in a physiologic manner are feeling secure, private and for the most part unobserved by outsiders. The midwives at Sage Midwifery are experts in supporting women through physiologic labor and birth. The location of birth can most influence a woman’s ability to achieve a physiological birth.

What if I want to give birth in a hospital?

Roxann and Cindy both have admitting and delivery privileges at Morristown Medical Center in Morristown NJ and have extensive experience in hospital birth. Clients who choose a hospital delivery are able to utilize the tubs, showers and birthing balls during labor and delivery.
